How to C.A.R.E for the Earth

Community Action for a Renewed Environment (CARE) is a competitive grant program that offers an innovative way for a community to organize and take action to reduce toxic pollution in its local environment. Through CARE, a community creates a partnership that implements solutions to reduce releases of toxic pollutants and minimize people's exposure to them. By providing financial and technical assistance, EPA helps CARE communities get on the path to a renewed environment.
One resource in particular is the The Community Action for a Renewed Environment (CARE) Resource Guide is a tool that will enable users to navigate EPA's Web site and find information about toxics in their local communities. This page offers a keyword search and introduction to the Resource Guide; additionally, users are given a choice of either viewing the guide online or downloading a copy of the guide in PDF format. You can learn how to effectively deal with everything from air pollution to toxic waste to water pollution. This is a federally funded program you pay for, and saving the earth is one of its goals, so take advantage of it and forward this to everyone you know.
