Getting Ready for the Tropical Storm/Hurricane

Tropical storm Bonnie has made her way across Florida and is now heading toward the Gulf of Mexico and the Gulf Coast. That means it is time for homeowners in the Gulf region to prepare for the storm. Homeowners have to not only prepare for strong winds. They also need to be ready for flooding. FEMA has great advice  on hurricane and flooding preparation. Home Security Source also has tips for weathering a storms and hurricanes.

Taking precautions for tropical storm Bonnie is especially important in light of the BP oil spill in the gulf. Scientists are not sure what will happen to the oil during the storm. Some feel that it could push the oil future inland.
