57 percent of Americans surveyed report having supplies set aside in their homes just for disasters, but only 44 percent have a household emergency plan. We never know when nature will decide to unleash its fury upon us, so it’s smart to be prepared. Take some time this month to put an emergency plan in place because you never know when disaster will strike.
With about 40 percent of Americans now carrying a smartphone, the number of “apps” that allow us to manage our social media or play games is growing daily. But there are also growing numbers of apps aimed at helping people understand or survive an emergency situation. Here’s a look at some of our favorites.
